The 28" Carbon Tubeless high profile wheel FERNWEG EVO 63 Disc is a true lightweight (set 1695 g/ VR 810 g/ HR 885 g) and the aero wheel from Lightweight. The modern shape with aerodynamically optimized rim design builds on the characteristics of the Lightweight classic MEILENSTEIN and combines the excellent stiffness and weight ratio with low crosswind sensitivity and best handling.

Thanks to the special carbon layer structure, the wheel is particularly stiff and can hardly twist at all, which ensures acceleration as fast as an arrow and direct power transmission without energy loss. In addition, the carbon layer construction is adapted to the purposes of the FERNWEG EVO. The latest generation of Lightweight wheels from the EVO series are equipped with special CFRP fibres and are even more stable, durable and efficient than ever before! For the rider this means even more efficient power transmission, excellent handling, improved rolling characteristics, more precise and safer braking performance and above all more speed. The propulsion is phenomenal - you have to experience it yourself.

The high quality is continued in the new design: The FERNWEG lettering is lasered in and thus stands out from the silky matt carbon look of the wheel. The Lightweight lettering is available in a white or red label.

The front wheel is equipped with a newly developed Lightweight Pentagon hub. The rear wheel is equipped with a Lightweight DT Swiss 240s hub and an easily exchangeable rotor for Campagnolo or Shimano or SRAM.

The FERNWEG EVO Disc is equipped with disc brakes. These offer a constantly high braking power independent of weather conditions, which can be achieved with less manual force. The innovative pentagon hub system increases safety when braking, as the heat generated during braking is absorbed by the nature of the pentagon hub.

A computer magnet (for bicycle computers) is laminated into the rim of each of the two wheels and an individually numbered read-only microchip is integrated into the rim.

All wheels of the EVO generation are equipped with tubeless technology. The Tubeless system offers puncture resistance and a lower running resistance because the inner tube is omitted. The profiles of the Lightweight rims have been specially developed for tubeless use. Thanks to the rim base geometry revised for tubeless, the tyre sits exactly in the rim flange. When inflated, the tyre jumps into the rim flange and thus remains exactly in place, even under tough driving conditions. Nevertheless, it is possible to use the usual combination of tyre and tube.

You have the choice between the FERNWEG EVO in the standard version with white or red label or as blackED. You need a single wheel? No problem, this is also possible.

The wheels of the SchwarzEdition include ball bearings from the Danish company CeramicSpeed. The bearings are the high-end solution for all ambitious cyclists who place the highest value on low friction and effective power transmission. The high quality is continued in the exclusive black design: The FERNWEG EVO lettering is lasered in and contrasts in elegant black with the silk matt carbon look of the wheel. The hub pressure piece, the hub stickers and the lightweight lettering are also in black - pure understatement. The rear wheel is equipped with a Lightweight DT Swiss 240s hub including CeramicSpeed ceramic ball bearings, and is optionally available with an easily replaceable rotor for Campagnolo, Shimano or SRAM.

Note: All Lightweight wheels are handmade. This can lead to slight deviations in surface structure and colour. This is a characteristic quality feature of this particularly high-quality manufacturing method.

Lightweight wheelprotection:
Especially during a race your wheel can be damaged very quickly, but no insurance will cover this. With the optionally available wheel guard you can protect yourself against this.
